How to find the Canal Basin

From the City Centre walk down South Street and cross the level crossing – the Canal Basin is only one minute south of the Bus & Rail Stations. If you are coming by car, there are several public car parks close by. There is restricted parking in Canal Wharf Road. There is limited free parking at the Canal Basin adjacent to the Canal Shop that is reserved for visitors to the Canal. Otherwise the nearest are the Westgate Centre (259 spaces) or Basin Road (115 spaces).

The canal runs from the basin in heart of Chichester to Salterns Lock by the Chichester Marina. It is navigable for canal boat trips between the basin and Crosbie Bridge.
